Retail Shop Talk is the brain child of Jon Hearn.  He has been working in and around the Outdoor Retail space for 20 years.  During that twenty years he worked as river and sea kayak guide, gained a degree in IT and graduated from direct retail to manufacture sales rep.

The idea came out of seeing so many retailers running part of their business so well and other parts so poorly.  It seemed obvious that the community of independent retail could learn from each other. He truly believes with few exceptions that independent retailers offer the best customer service and knowledge to their consumers and with out them new brands, and stoke for passions would die.
